Among her many honors is the esteemed “Fellow of the Most Excellent Order of International Experts (FOIE)” designation by the United Nations, the recipient of commendations such as an Assembly Resolution from the New Jersey General Assembly and a Citation from the 31st New Jersey Senate, recognized with the bestowal of an Honorary Doctorate from CICA International University & Seminary, and induction into the esteemed Marquis Who’s Who of America. Additionally, Monaye’s has lent her expertise to the esteemed NAACP Image Awards, serving on the literature nominating committee for both the 54th and 55th ceremonies, further highlighting her unwavering commitment to advancing the African American culture. Her inclusion further cements her status as a literary luminary and a driving force in shaping cultural influence.

Serving as a staff writer for CNN iReport and The Philadelphia Association of Paralegals, she has fearlessly addressed pressing societal issues while also contributing to numerous book compilations and theatrical productions. Notably, her groundbreaking stage play, “Get Out of Your Own Way,” has captivated audiences in iconic locales such as Hollywood, CA, and Off-Broadway, earning widespread acclaim for its poignant narrative and compelling performances.

Beyond her creative endeavors, Monaye is a visionary entrepreneur, founding Pen Legacy & CM Writes to elevate the voices of aspiring and established writers through book publishing and scriptwriting. Since their inception, Monaye has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of numerous debut writers and esteemed authors, including Camille Cooper, Valerie Workman Esq., Evelyn Braxton, Ty Johnston-Chavis, Debbie Douglas, and Precious L. Williams, Esq., among others. In addition, she has shared her gift of exceptional writing with various individuals, organizations, and celebrities by partnering to serve as their ghostwriter or work-for-hire for books, media content and screenplays. Monaye has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Chester University, a Master’s in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and Life Coaching. In addition, Monaye studied writing for television, film and novel writing and editing under the tutelage of Shonda Rhimes, Victoria Christopher Murray and Tressa Azarel Smallwood. Charron Monaye is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Order of Eastern Star, and First Baptist Church of Crestmont. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she currently resides in Wesley Chapel, FL, with her two sons.
